25.6x25.6 in ~ Painting, Oil
2017 I wanted something to change my world, a painting that would make that happen. I wanted something I’d never seen before in the art world. I used to sit for hours late at night thinking about what to paint to make that change.
It was Egg lady wearing a scarf that made that change.
When my husband first saw Egg Lady, he said Ta, you’ve gone mad nobody will buy that, later that morning, I put it on sale, and it sold within 10 minutes, and I could have sold it ten times more.
Now my Eggs are in all shapes and sizes, from kids riding bikes to Gangsters like Peaky Blinders hanging on walls worldwide, as are my Egg flowers.
My hero, Vincent Van Gogh, painted his sunflowers in Arles, in the South of France, in 1889. I painted my Egg Flowers on Samui, in the South of Thailand, in 2017
On 22 / 07 / 2022, I signed a contract with Stars Collective Films Entertainment Group INC for my Egg painting series; they made the movie Crazy Rich Asians and the documentary Wuhan Wuhan and many more.
As part of the conversation with the CEO of Stars Collective, I came up with the idea of a faraway island inhabited by Egg people, humans in every way apart from they had Eggs as faces.
There and then, I decided whatever happens with these movie people; I will write my book, Egg Island. I have been working on it ever since it’s near completion; I’m just polishing it up.
I‘m not going to say much about the story here, but faith intervenes, and a ship carrying people from London are shipwrecked and end up on Egg Island, as do the Egg people in London.
In a few weeks, I’m planning to book into a hotel on a nearly deserted island in southern Thailand. It has no cars or distractions, and I will draw the illustrations for my book.
So it could be a good time to invest in one of my Egg paintings.
